A Space to Create, Connect, and Slow Down
At Haven 33 Creative, art isn’t about being perfect
— it’s about expression, curiosity, and joy.
These creative workshops are small, hands-on art experiences where you can explore new techniques, experiment with materials, and enjoy a relaxed creative environment.
Whether you're brand new to art or simply looking for a peaceful creative outlet, these workshops are designed to help you reconnect with your creativity.
Why Handmade Matters
In a world where so much is fast, digital, and mass-produced, creating something by hand can be a powerful and grounding experience. When we slow down and work with our hands—painting, cutting, layering, designing—we reconnect with creativity in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
Handmade art isn’t about perfection.
It’s about expression, exploration, and the joy of creating something uniquely your own.
At Haven 33 Creative,
these workshops are designed to be welcoming spaces where you can step away from the noise of everyday life, experiment with materials, and rediscover the simple satisfaction of making something by hand.
Whether you're crafting a bookmark, building a notebook, or exploring a new art technique, the goal is the same:
to create, connect, and leave feeling inspired.

Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Mel!
I’ve been creative my whole life, making, drawing, and really just loving all kinds of art, even as far back as elementary school.
For nearly 20 years, I’ve worked professionally as a designer and creative, helping people tell their stories visually, and one of my favorite parts of this work has been helping people reconnect with their own creativity.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a Graphic Design concentration, which means I am professionally trained in art. Through my many years of experience, this also means that I can guide beginners gently, but also add more challenging techniques if you’re looking for something a little advanced.
These workshops are meant to be relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can create without pressure, have fun, and leave feeling inspired and refreshed.
I can’t wait to have you in class!
